Description

Muslim English Language Institute needs a Branch Manager for its Dasht-E-Barchi Branch. The Branch Manager oversees overall administration of the concerned campus. The Branch Manager will provide particularly close oversight of the operational sector to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, the position is responsible for comprehensive oversight of all Instructors’ activities within the organization. The position requires leadership, strategic thinking, and continuous coordination with the Head Office.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

General Duties

  1. Oversee and guide management of daily office operations.
  2. Oversee security-related matters.
  3. Ensure staff is aware of and complies with MELI’s policy and procedures.
  4. Communicate regularly with MELI’s Head Office such as Director General and General Manager.
  5. Serve as the focal point for activities at the positioned branch.
  6. Facilitate MELI’s strategic planning and decision-making, and participate in similar activities as member of senior management team.
  7. Participate in development and implementation of systematic, participatory approach to improving the overall performance of the organization.
  8. Supervise all the instructors, management personnel and other staff.

 

Overall Management and Administration

 

  1. Closely oversee management of daily office operations, meeting regularly with General Manager to ensure smooth functioning of administration, finance, logistics and timely identification and resolution of issues.
  2. Track issues, and provide MELI’s senior management with regular reports; communicate with and update program managers regularly.
  3. Oversee weekly planning.
  4. Monitor support services to ensure they function smoothly and effectively; facilitate coordination between programs and support services and vice versa.
  5. Oversee maintenance of office and related files.
  6. Provide regular situation updates to program managers.
  7. Oversee recruitment of and supervise MELI’ management staff.
  8. Monitor activities to ensure process and project quality; ensure early identification of and response to issues.
  9. Actively seek opportunities to build personal capacity to fulfill professional requirements.
  10. Perform other duties as requested by General Manager.

Qualifications

At least MBA in HR/Management

■          Fluent in English and familiar with computer.

■          Must have good communication skills in English, Dari and Pashto

■        Ability to provide strategic leadership.

■        Financial management and budget experience.

■        Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.

■        Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in pressured environment.

■        Strong communication skills, and fluency in written and spoken English, Dari, and Pashto.

■        Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

■       Ability to work closely, professionally, and constructively with all others regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, tribe, or cultural background
